Kris Hall is a managing director at Dovetail Consulting Group with over twenty years of experience successfully designing, implementing, and leading comprehensive privacy and data protection management programs for multinational pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
Prior to joining Dovetail, Kris was vice president and chief privacy officer for Celgene, where she was responsible for overseeing the company’s global privacy program and for providing data protection guidance to integration teams throughout the Bristol-Myers Squibb acquisition of Celgene.
Kris joined Celgene following her role as vice president and head of privacy for Shire, where she designed and implemented a global privacy management program, established and led an international team of experienced privacy officers, and worked across corporate functions to drive multi-functional data governance, compliance, and risk management efforts.
Earlier in her career, Kris worked at Philips Healthcare and Philips North America, where she led the company’s product (medical device) security program and designed and implemented the global privacy program. During her decade at Philips, Kris also drove the creation and approval of the industry’s first set of Processor Binding Corporate Rules, designed and implemented comprehensive privacy risk management processes, and managed a large network of international privacy officers.
Kris earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where she was also editor in chief of the Florida State University Law Review. Kris holds a B.A. (Legal Studies, with honors) from the University of Central Florida and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
