Eric Baim is a partner at Dovetail Consulting Group. Eric has over two decades of experience successfully building governance, risk management, integrity, and compliance programs for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
Before joining Dovetail Consulting Group, Eric was Vice President and Head of Compliance U.S. for Shire where he was responsible for all aspects of the compliance program, including the company’s obligations under its Corporate Integrity Agreement.
Previously, Eric held a number of global and U.S. ethics and compliance roles at Novartis, in which he harmonized global policies to implement significant business transformations across Novartis divisions, led centers of excellence, and advised diverse franchises and functions, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Services. Eric began his fraud and abuse and compliance-counseling career at various law firms in Washington, D.C.
Eric consistently focuses on balancing risk mitigation with business needs, often leveraging compliance data analytics and actionable risk-management dashboards for stakeholder discussions. Throughout his career, Eric also has led numerous behavior-based compliance initiatives to measure, manage, and transform corporate cultures, with a passion informed by his first career in Clinical Psychology.
Eric earned his J.D. and M.A. (Public Policy Studies) from Duke University, an M.A. (Clinical Psychology) from the University of Cincinnati, and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Eric earned his COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate from The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
